For the second brief of term 3, we were asked to create either an intervention, hack or a re-appropriation of an existing typographic system using the language, structures and medium of typography in order to create change within a social context. I decided to hack telephone directories; specifically the Yellow Pages. I created a menu using the contents of three different price-ranged restaurants and incorporated the Yellow Page's visual language and formal elements. As a final piece, I put my design onto coffee cups as a way of disposable advertising and keeping the typographic elements of the telephone directory still in physical form.
